Filling The Gap

At the end of April, I launched Henderson Pro-Bono Consulting for both personal and external motivations. The personal motives were to try my hand at management consulting, try something entrepreneurial, and gain experience for future academic and professional endeavors. I could have launched the platform on these motivations alone, but I wouldn’t have done so without the main extrinsic factor that brought this all to fruition; filling the gap between small businesses & non-profits and their limited resources to acquire external consulting.

Isn’t it disconcerting when you realize that most management and strategy consulting agencies tailor their services to already successful corporations? This only helps squander small business trying to compete in the domestic marketplace where Canada ranks high in indices such as ease of doing business and ease of starting a business.

Henderson Pro-Bono, although by no means profitable or a permanent solution to small business & non-profit consulting, is a small step in the right direction. Services range from quantitative analysis to marketing strategy to sponsorship acquisition for charities and non-profits. All services are free of charge and range from 2-3 weeks in terms of project length; the only commitment you need to make is a few hours of your time for initial consultation and continuous clarification & feedback.
